Ah, what do you know, you're not alone.
Usually I don't think it's appropriate for people to act in a negative
manner in response to someone asking to leave the list, but Prof. Gerow
constantly posts instructions on how to do it.
So Don and Tod, thanks for the laugh, I had a rough day today and the
replies were spot on.
