Ohara Koyu died on February 20, 2004. (Kinema Junpo falsely gives February 10).

Hello there,

I was just wondering if anyone offhand could answer a question about the
Nikkatsu director Koyu Ohara. I remember him dying a few years ago, but I
wonder if anyone knows the exact date. Its too recent to be in the Kinema
Junpo book, and the usual sources for this sort of thing online dont mention
it. Just to jog memories, Ohara was responsible for some of the most abysmal
Roman Porno films, like Fairy in a Cage and True Story of a Woman Condemned
to Hell, although his teen-coming-of-age-cum-road-movie, Pink Hip Girl, was
actually pretty good.
