Kobayashi Masahiro wins Locarno Film Festival

> The jury of the 60th Locarno Film Festival today awarded the Japanese 
> director Masahiro Kobayashi with the Golden Leopard for his film Ai no 
> yokan (The Rebirth).
> After presenting his past four or five films at the Cannes Film 
> Festival without getting a lot of attention, Kobayashi was luckier in 
> Switzerland.

Kobayashi has also had generally bad luck in Japan as well, where many 
of his films have had a hard time finding good distribution. Any news 
on whether his previous film, Shiawase, which was featured at Tokyo 
FilmEx last year, will be released?
