Moore+Hara=Michigan

Just a quick mention. If it wasn't for Jim Hoberman championing the film in 
American Film and the Voice, and Kyoko Hirano's efforts to get me a meeting 
with Mr. Hara, Emperor's wouldn't have been distributed in the United States in 
the first place. It was my first acquisition ever (when I was working at Kino) 
and much of the credit goes to them. And to Don Krim. Back then, Kino was one 
of the very few companies acquiring new Japanese films.

I'm jealous that Facets got Emperor's when the rights lapsed last year and is 
bringing out the DVD!
