That's an interesting question. I just went with what the obits were  
writing (sorry for not cross-checking), but looking at the JBDB, it  
is clear that Toho Showboat is a revue film featuring many vaudeville  
and musical stars. Perhaps this was less of a narrative feature film  
and thus not considered a true feature debut? Anyone?
