The network of journalists supporting the film has created an archive  
site for "Yasukuni" press, declarations, etc:

Dragon Films got back to me about the Nanking symposium. Li is sure  
it happened in 1997, because he recalls that it was commemorating the  
60th anniversary. They'll be checking the footage to get an accurate  
name for the symposium.
