[Aaron Gerow]

It was announced that Takita Yojiro's Okuribito (Departures) was  
picked as one of the five nominees for the Academy Award for best  
foreign language film. That's the first Japanese film since Yamada  
Yoji's Tasogare Seibei was nominated in 2003.
