Hello Beat,

This one might be more what you're looking for, although good luck trying to track it down for a viewing.
The film is called Young
Guy in the Alps
(Arupusu no
wakadaishô,
1966), or It Started In the Alps, directed by Furusawa Kengo.
It was an entry in the
	Wakadaishô ('Young Guy')
series,
starring popular singing star,
Kayama Yûzô (the son of actor Uehara Ken). which began with Young
Guy at University
(Daigaku no
wakadaishô, 1961, directed by Sugie Toshio. There were a huge number of entries in this Toho musical series, which I guess must have been a bit like the Elvis films from the same period. In an era when not many Japanese had the opportunity to travel overseas, Kayama would end up in a different country each time. For this 1966 entry, he ended up in Switzerland.

> There's probably not much more than Takahata's 'Arupusu no shojo Haiji', Morimoto's adaptation of 'Ichigensan' and Daniel Schmid's 'Written Face', but if something pops up in your mind, I'd be glad to know. It can also be some anecdotal detail. Answers off list are welcome.
