A belated announcement for
DOCUMENTARY DREAM SHOW / Yamagata in Tokyo 2010
now in its second week.
The Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival has been held
biennially in the northern city of Yamagata since 1989.
Every other year, the festival comes to Tokyo!
This year's four-week event will showcase most of the 2009 lineup, with
additional favorites and classics from the festival's 20 year history. Most
films have English subtitles or are in English.

(sorry, no cute pets of the month)
Japanese films will be followed by a Q & A with the director in most cases.
Don't miss Hara Masato's 8mm multi-screen projection with live performance!
Oki Hiroyuki will show excerpts from his recent work while commentating on
them live.
International guests include Ogawa Shinsuke Prize winning filmmaker Kim
Dongryung from Korea (_American Alley_), winner of the Directors' Guild of
Japan prize Cong Feng from China (_Dr. Ma's Country Clinic_), and
co-director of _The Convert_ and film critic Kong Rithdee from Thailand.
