Teaching Fellow, East Asian Cinema and Media Studies

The Japan Studies Committee of the Center for East Asian Studies at the University of Chicago announces a teaching fellowship in East Asian Cinema and Media Studies with a focus in Japanese film. 

This two-year, non-renewable appointment provides a salary of $40,000 plus health benefits and includes a $5,000 annual research budget. The fellow will be expected to teach a minimum of two classes per year and take an active interest in the East Asia-related workshops on campus as appropriate.  

Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. in hand by September, 2011. Candidates from both the humanities and the social sciences will be considered.

Screening of applications will begin March 1, 2011 and continue until the position is filled.
