MOVIE「Hibakusha – from Hiroshima to Fukushima, Nuclear Capitalism Tries to
Rebound” (67 minutes)」

The anti-nuclear documentary Hibakusha combines interviews with the victims
of the current nuclear disaster with comments from those who survived the
bombing of Hiroshima.

The 67-minute film (with the full title Hibakusha: From Hiroshima to
Fukushima, Nuclear Capitalism tries to Rebound) is billed as an expose of
Japan's infamous nuclear village.

Co-directed by filmmaker and journalist Ralph T. Niermeyer and German
parliamentarian Dorothee Menzer, the film has been screened in Germany and
France and will soon travel to the US and Venezuela.

It will be screened for the first time in Japan at a vital juncture in the
country's preparations for a new energy policy amid rising anti-nuclear
sentiment and the shutdown of all 54 of its nuclear reactors.

Come to the FCCJ on May 22nd and see a 67-minute preview of the film and
ask Niermeyer about what he hopes it achieves.

３．１１から一年を経た日本。巨大な力で勧められてきた原子力​政策と、それに対抗したちあがる民衆の姿を伝えるドキュメンタリ
ー「Hibakusha～原子力資本主義の転換～広島から福島へ​」（67分・ドキュメンタリー
英題“Hibakusha – from Hiro to Fukushima, nuclear capitalism tries to
 rebound”）。２月に来日したドイツ人監督ラルフ・T・イ​ーメイヤー氏とドイツのエネルギー政策担当ドロテー・メンツナー
連邦議員・共同監督作品。ドイツ、フランスでテレビ放映され、大​きな反響を読んだ本作を、国内稼働中の原発がとうとうゼロ基とな
った日本で上映される。


監督来日にあわせ、緊急記者会見と使者会を行う。


福島第一原発３０キロ圏内への取材、もんじゅ敦賀原発地元への取​材、福井若狭湾の原発が止まった関西電力への取材、福島の母、原
発震災避難ママ、広島の被爆者へのインタビューなど。

エネルギー転換期を迎えた日本の姿を、同じ工業国でありながら​３．１１後に脱原発を実現したドイツからの目で切り取る。ジャー
ナリストの鋭い目は、広島での原爆投下後、アメリカ占領の中で、​経済発展の夢とともに導入された“原子力の平和利用”のベールを
暴き、日本人がだまれ続けてきた原子力資本主義の姿を浮き彫りに​する。

5月22日午前１１時より有楽町の外国人記者クラブで、村田訓吉と増山麗奈が共同代表を勤めるWAPA（world anti-nuclear peace
action）が日本語版製作を勤める映画「Hibakusha~広島から福島まで続く原子力ビジネス
~」（ドイツ／ドロテー・メンツナー・ラルフ・T・ニーメイヤー監督​）の上映会・記者会見を行います。

基本言語は英語になりますが、ジャーナリストであればフリー、大​手、団体、出版社問わずご参加いただけます。是非興味を持ちそう
