[KineJapan] theatrical release of 祇園祭 outside of Japan

Dear members, 

The おもちゃ映画ミュージアム in Kyoto is trying to gather information on the theatrical release of 祇園祭 The Day the Sun Rose, aka Gion Festival (Yamanouchi Tetsuya, 1968) outside of Japan. We know that it was shown in USA in February of 1969 (in Hawaii in 1973), but they couldn’t get anything about other parts of the world. 

Any help would be appreciated.
