As some of you know, I will be on sabbatical the next academic year (yay!), and Yale is allowing my department to hire a visiting lecturer to teach courses in Japanese film and media studies in the 2025-2026 academic year. This will be a 2/3rds position, involving a 2/2 teaching load (a full position at the lecturer level is 3/3). Health benefits are included. Candidates should have a PhD in hand by August 1, 2025, since graduate teaching is involved.
Those interested should send a cover letter, CV, and writing sample to maura.kelly at yale.edu with a CC to aaron.gerow at yale.edu. Please also arrange for at least one letter of recommendation to be sent separately to the same address. We would like to fill the position by the end of April, so those interested should send their materials as soon as they can.
Feel free to send this to those who might want to apply. Also feel free to write me if you have any questions.
