I was handed a rather battered dead male monarch butterfly today that had been
found at Caswell on the coast of the Gower Peninsula near Swansea in South
Wales.
It had been found about a fortnight ago lying in some water and had been taken
to the Environment Centre in Swansea from whence it was passed on to me.

This is an interesting find indeed!

may be reconceived, though its first material expression be destroyed; a
vanished harmony may yet again inspire the composer; but when the last
individual of a race of living things breathes no more another heaven and
another earth must pass before such a one can be again." William Beebe
