Stigma

query the group regarding buttefly "stigma". I hope this hasn't
been discussed to death yet,in the recent past, since I'm a fairly recent
reader...

I would appreciate any references to reading material otherwise , also. I
can't seem to find much detail. All I know is basically we can distinguish
male from female butterflies - Monarchs and Skippers-Hesperiinae - but if
there's another function, I'm not sure what this would be (hold some
hormone

The term "androconia" was mentioned recentl; and I'd heard another term
used to refer to the "stigma" on the male monarchs, could it have been this
one?
