Hello,

I don't have Chinese butterflies books which have
Chinese common names. So I cannot say for sure,
but it sounds like one of the Cyrestis species to me.
If it is the case it belongs to Nymphalidae although
it might not look that way since the butterfly has
a rather fragile looking body for the family. Was it
'tailed' just like Hairstreaks? A lot(most?) of the
Cyrestis species have tails.

Cheers,
Kuni
