[LEPS-L:7888] does it kill mosquitos

There is even a rumor that this year some jurisdictions in New York have 
actually tried to assess whether the spraying was having ANY impact on 
mosquito populations. So there is some promise looming on the horizon. 
The problem was that the media preferred to cover the excitement of 
aerial spraying rather than the useful information about reducing 
mosquito breeding places close to human habitation. 

I wonder if this year, when a lot more spraying is by trucks, the media 
simply doesn't find it as exciting.
