terminology question

Suzy - your question intrigued me so I checked a number of books - so far
they all agree with Ron Gatrelle - they mention the chrysalis turns
transparent before eclosion (the emergence of the butterfly from the
chrysalis).  Could it be the teacher is confused about the term eclosion?
