Subspecies and protection

Dear James,
I don't trust politicians much either, but isn't it just possible
the first version had a small typographical error which was fixed in the new
version? Frankly, the "or" doesn't make sense in the first version. Once
you've said "species" why "or" it with anything. I guess I'm not much for
conspiracy theories!
