Need access to original descriptions (including illustrations if any) of
Oeneis polixenes and Oeneis melissa. Photos of types would also be
marvelous. Holotype of polixenes in British Museum. Types of melissa may be
lost but may be in Copenhagen. OD's in Syst. Ent. 1775 if any of you are
fortunate enough to have this oldie available to you. Please contact me
direct if you are able to help. Suggestive note: if people who are sitting
on holotypes and original descriptions in old literature would use current
technology and put this material on the www; that would be a very useful
contribution to society.
