Good light

I am sure it is no great revelation to say that examining leps in natural
light is far superior to seeing them under incandescent light bulbs.
However, when I am unsure of an id in the field I take a specimen home and
head for my library where I consult the muses and the tomes - in
incandescent light.  Suggestions please in how I should solve my lighting
problem.
