Leps/Localities circa Eureka, CA

I have a chance to spend a week in Eureka, CA, at the end of the month
(July) and wondered if any list members could suggest localities near there
that are especially good for butterfly watching. Also appreciated would be
some species to look for. I've never been to N. CA before and I have no
idea what to expect in the way of climate and habitats. Thanks in advance
for your suggestions!
