Ehrlich and BSC

Although some of us were raised on the biological species concept and
argued vociferously with the cladists (or failed to understand why it
was such an issue), it should be recalled that Paul Ehrlich
(lepidopterist) published a thought provoking paper HAS THE BIOLOGICAL
SPECIES CONCEPT OUTLIVED ITS USEFULNESS in 1961. Although this paper
shook my "faith", it did not dissuade me from employing the BSC in my
own research.

It's still timely.
