advice

I was in Costa Rica for two months in 1970 around mid June to mid
August. I used a Pentax 35mm camera and shot color slide film (about 20
rolls). I did not have to give it special treatment (such as putting it
in a plastic bag) and I had no probems with the film or camera. Costa
Rica is also pretty rainy and humid (especially the rain forest). Could
the type of film be the deciding factor, the make or construction of the
camera, or is Costa Rica at that time of year not as humid as Venezuela
(but certainly a rain forest is pretty humid, as well as the OSA)? Maybe
the newer all plastic camera's are not made as good as the older ones.
