rearing cossids

Hey group,
Does anyone out there have any experience rearing cossids?  I was 
hoping for some tips e.g. moisture requirements.  Any successes?  Can 
they be raised in wood chips of the right kind of wood or do they 
need to be inside a hole in a solid log.  Any help, TIA.
