Colleagues:

   I've just gotten off the phone with our Cataloger's Desktop contractor and he reports that the very slow, unsteady access to Desktop is caused by a problem with our contractor's internet service provider.  Desktop's server is operating normally, but their internet connection is not.  Our contractor is working with their ISP to resolve this problem on a high priority basis.  We will update you as additional information becomes available.

   We regret any inconvenience this may cause.
