Dear colleagues,
I am writing with the purpose of seeking members for the Cataloging in OCLC Implementation Task Force. This six-month-term Task Force has an opening for one General Collections Cataloger and one C&T member. Any staff are welcome to apply with supervisor approval.
The Task Force is charged with contributing Yale-created data internationally and to create more consistent practices for catalogers across units.
Objectives include:
* Develop a training plan and schedule.
* Create local workflow documentation.
* Evaluate current authorizations and create consistent guidelines for future accounts.
* Roll out new workflows to all YUL and Law staff
Current members of the Task Force include:
* Dom Bortruex (Monographic Processing Services), Chair
* Danijela Matković (Special Collections lead)
* Cate Kellett (Law Library cataloging)
* General collection cataloger (tbd)
* C&T (tbd)
If you're interested in participating, please submit your name and areas of expertise, experience, or interest to me by July 30.
Please let me know if you have any questions about this Task Force.
Best,
Dom
