There is indeed a favorable Midnight Eye review of Nightmare Detective, by Nicholas Rucka:

There's also a very good set of favorable ND review essays in French, by Romain Le Vern, with nice visuals, at:

In addition, there's a review at the same site of Batman: Gotham Knight, the new Japanese-US anime in 6 parts, review written by "PitouWH," including a lot of good still photos.
The six parts were each directed and produced by Japanese anime experts, but the original stories were written by Americans (not sure about the scripts). This film will be released shortly in the US and France, but it looks as if it was available to critics in France as early as February.

The six parts are:
1) Have I got a Story for You
2) The Dark Knight
réalisé par Futoshi Higashide
produit par Mitsuhisa Ishikawa (Production I.G.)
3) Field Test
réalisé par Hiroshi Morioka
produit par Mitsuhisa Ishikawa (Production I.G.)
4) In Darkness Dwells
5) Working Through Pain
Is Greg Rucka, who wrote the story for Episode 2), by chance in any way related to Nicholas Rucka, who reviewed Nightmare Detective for Midnight Eye?
There's also a long review, with many outstanding photos, of the live action Batman film Dark Knight, which will be released in the US in late July, and in France in August. Even though this one really has nothing to do with Japanese film, the URL is:
