Thank you all for your answers and the time you spent on checking sources...

To put a temporary end to this topic, what may not have been the most
interesting one debated on the list (and I truly apologize for that, but,
like Mark Nornes said, I assume this kind of "problems" are unavoidable for
us people dealing with japanese cinema...), I would like to refer to the
answer director Yoshida Kijû, who was, as you may know, an intimate of
Tamura, kindly gave to me : according to him, people around Tamura always
called him "Tsutomu", a name he himself never corrected nor rejected. But
for some obscure reasons, Tamura may have given "Takeshi" as a reading when
entering Shôchiku, what would explain their reaction. But that we can't know
unless checking this very file...
Anyway, according to many of your anwers, I will try to keep  "Tsutomu" and
convince Shôchiku that it may not be a "french" misreading...
