So sad to hear about the passing of this great thinker, scholar and
teacher. She was strongly interested in Japanese film particularly Kurosawa
and Oshima. For a long time she was the only faculty in Cinema Studies who
taught Japanese film. She edited Burch’s book which he wrote in English for
clarity.
She will be missed
